Slide & Splash, located just outside Lagoa, is one of the Algarve’s biggest and most established waterparks — a full-day attraction that blends adrenaline rides, family fun and wide, landscaped spaces perfect for relaxing in the sun. Open since 1986, it has continually expanded with new slides, upgraded pools and modern facilities, making it a favourite for both locals and holidaymakers. The park is large, vibrant and easy to navigate, with plenty of space to spread out even on busy summer days. You’ll find everything from high-speed chutes and twisting tubes to calmer family slides, splash zones for toddlers and dedicated areas where parents can unwind. Aquashow is one of the Algarve’s most complete water and theme parks, combining high-adrenaline slides, wave pools, lazy rivers and dry rides with plenty of green areas to relax. Located on the outskirts of Quarteira, close to Vilamoura, it offers a full day out for families, groups and thrill-seekers looking for more than a simple pool-and-slide complex. The outdoor waterpark features over 20 attractions for all ages and adventure levels, including the famous Free Fall slide – a 32-metre drop billed as one of the tallest of its kind in Europe – plus a large wave pool, children’s zones, family slides and a lazy river. Around the park, you’ll find snack bars, a shop, locker rental, sun loungers, shaded spaces and an on-site hotel with direct access, making it easy to base an entire day here. Aquashow’s outdoor season typically runs from May to late September, with the park open daily from 10:00 to 18:00. All water and themed attractions inside the park are included in the ticket price, and babies up to 5 years old enter free. For cooler months, Aquashow also operates a separate indoor park next door on its own timetable and tickets, giving visitors a waterpark option almost all year round.
